Paypal charged both bank and my balance

 For an Item I ordered I had attempted to pay with both my bank and paypal as my balance did not solely have enough, but recently I noticed that the charge went to my bank to finish the transaction as expected, but in addition to this sent my balance into the negative for the money that was charged to the bank. anyone know of a way to clear this up?

Click HELP at the top menu, scroll down to click CONTACT US, and then scroll down to click CALL US.

Hi @Triblu,

 

I'm sorry to hear that there is any confusion regarding the status of the funding for your payment.

 

If the payment failed when the bank funding collection was attempted, the balance would have been made negative and then another attempt would be made to collect the payment from your primary funding method. If the bank funded that attempt, it would still take a few days for that funding to complete its transfer to PayPal to rectify the negative balance. If the amount was successfully taken from your bank account within the last few business days, your negative balance should be brought back to normal soon. If it's been more than 14 days since that amount came out of your bank, please contact PayPal as @sharpiemarker suggested.
