Paypal balance

Within the last couple of weeks PayPal has stopped pulling payments out of my balance and is pulling it from my checking account.  I checked and the checking account is marked "preferred" but I can't find an option to make my balance preferred.  I don't remember changing anything, but I want to change it back, how do I do so?  Thank you.

Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > second down click on update next to your prefered way to pay and put a dot in one of the options listed.

Thanks kernowlass, I have done that but the only two options shown are bank accounts.  There is no option to select paypal balance.
