I sent a payment through Facebook Messenger through my pay pal. However the person that I sent it to said the E mail that it was sent to is old and that she cannot log in to it and that it is not linked to her new pay pal account. However this did come out of my bank account so what do I do will it be refunded me automatically within 30 days or not? At the moment all my PayPal says is that the money was sent and it has come out of my bank account as well.

Good day @Terrylynn123

Welcome to the community and thanks for posting.

Please check the status of the transaction in your Activity. If it shows "Pending" then the money will automatically go back to its original funding source after 30 days. Otherwise, if the status shows "Completed" then the receipient has to contact Customer Service to see what else needs to be done to make this payment show on his/her new PayPal account.

There is a slim chance to get ahold of customer service via phone as we are still in skeletal schedule due to pandemic emergency and I am very sorry about that. However, you can direct the receipient to click help / contact bottom left of Paypal pages for options available for your country, either via chat or email. He/she may also consider contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter. He/she can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.
