Hello. My friend from USA (i live in south Africa) PayPaled me money for a graphic design job more than 24 hours ago. However the money is still not in my balance. Is this normal?

Yes, most paypal payments are more or less instant.

What does it say next to the transaction in THEIR Paypal account?

1. Pending / Unclaimed.
2. Pending / Unclaimed with a cancel option.
3. Completed OR Payment / Sent.
4. Pending / Uncleared.

Also what currency did then send it in and do you have that currency linked as a receiving currency in your paypal account?
