Payment to my acct couldn't get through

My brother is trying to send me money via my link but it could not get through it says Payment  was denied. I have already added a bank account on file. It says there CHECKING. Could it be the possible reason why? How will I know if my account is completely verified or whatnot? Please help me.

A bank account listed as checking one that is designated as a checking account as opposed to a savings account. If you click on the account in your PayPal Wallet, its confirmation status should also be listed there. If it is not confirmed, please follow these steps to confirm it.
