Payment from unknown person

Hi,

Upon checking my PayPal I see that unknown to me person has deposited a big amount of money to my PayPal. 

Transaction shows as " Pending " it says that it should be cleared by 24th of January. This transaction is counted as " Sale for Goods or Services "

However I am 100% sure I have not sold or providing such a service for that huge amount to that person. To receive the funds I also have to pay the fees. Because amount is big the actual fee is also a high rate. I wonder what should I do. Obvious this is either someones mistake or some sort of scam I am not aware of

Sounds as if someone has made an error entering the email address and used yours by mistake.

As its pending then it may 'fail' if the person realises their mistake and informs there bank to recall the payment.

As its for a large amount I would give customer services a call for advice on this one.
Click on the words "Help / Contact" at the bottom of paypals pages and use the phone option in the blue band at the top OR very bottom of page dependent on what country you are in. Scroll down past the list of help questions and click on 'Call us' bottom of that page. Log in and get the code.
Freephone from a UK landline or UK mobile number.

Hi, I just received $200 from a person called “Samuel <removed>” who I have never heard of. It doesn’t say anything when you click the details except to email him. What do I do with this? Is this a scam to get more money out of random people? But how did he get to send me through my PayPal?

What happened? Did you return the money or keep it? This just happened to me.
