Hi all. I am looking to purchase a golf club off a chap over facebook. If I pay via goods and services, am I covered by the Paypal buyer protection? For example, if it doesn’t arrive or if it’s a fake. Thanks.

If you pay with PayPal as a goods and service payment you'll get PayPal buyer protection, not eBay. PayPal and eBay split up years ago and they always had separate dispute resolution systems. If you want extra protection, send a PayPal good and service payment with a credit card.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Sharpie, that’s what I meant, it’s been a long day! Okay cool. Do I need to list what the item is in the notes part when I’m sending the payment? Thanks.

Hi @Alexjones1504,

Thank you for your question! Listing the information in the notes section is a good idea. If you want things to be very specific, you can ask the seller to send you an invoice or money request. Either way, it would be covered as long as it meets the requirements in the link that @sharpiemarker sent to you.

I hope this helps!

Olivia
