Payment deducted Twice

I made a purchase using my PayPal cash card and it was deducted from my paypal balance.  I have my bank account and debit card linked to PayPal, and this purchase was also deducted from my bank account.  How do I get a refund for that purchase?

The merchant will be able to refund one of these payments for you. If you are unable to contact the merchant please file a dispute on the second duplicated transaction.

 

Here's how to open a dispute:

  1. Log in to your PayPal account.
  2. Click on the transaction you'd like to file a complaint about.
  3. Click Report a problem within the transaction details.
  4. Choose which type of issue you would like to report.
  5. Enter the details of your complaint.
  6. Click Submit.

After you open a dispute, you have 20 calendar days to communicate with the seller before the dispute automatically closes. If you can't resolve the problem, you can ask us to investigate by escalating your dispute to a claim.
