What is the maximum amount I can charge someone using the Paypal system? I have just tried to receive a payment of £1166.40 from a customer and twice the card was declined!

I am sorry about your issue. In general, there is no limit to receiving money. It may be possible that you have limits on your account (check your Resolution Centre). The issue may be on the sender side and you may aks to contact us directly.
