How do I complete a pending payment in a payment request

I had sold an item and handled the payment through PayPal by doing a payment request. This was successfully completed but the payment is now pending. I don’t know what to do to complete this process. Please help.

Are the funds showing in your paypal balance and paypal transaction history but have pending by them or not showing at all?

If not showing at all then how do you know they have paid?

The funds are showing in my summary but the show pending which has been for 4 days. Is there something I have to do to complete this.
