Paying without linking a credit card?

hi there!

i wanted to make a payment with paypal but everytime i try to make that payment, it asks me to link a creditcard to the account. (i use maestrocard which isnt 'valid') do i have to link my bankaccount to stop this step or is there a way to solve this problem?
