When trying to pay for air fares I get message "Things don't appear to be working right now. - Please try again". On repeatedly trying again it is not working. What could possible reasons be?? & how to fix???
I would back off for a day or two after all that rapid fire retrys and then carefully try again. If you get an error message, stop and wait a few hours and try again. It's PayPal's internal security/risk model system triggered so it needs time to cool down/reset.
Check to make sure no temporary authorizations popup on your funding source.
