Paying eBay sellers account with PayPal balance

Hi there.

Can anyone tell me why I can’t  pay me eBay sellers account with my PayPal balance?

Ive been paying it that way for over a year and now suddenly I can only pay from my bank account.

There is money in my balance to cover the bill but I can’t seem to be able to change the payment source back to PayPal balance so have to transfer from the balance to my bank account and then pay eBay instead of clicking once to pay.

Such a nuisance.

Anyone know how to set it up ?

Welcome to the community forum and thanks for posting.

If an agreement to pay eBay seller fees for listing items on eBay is charged to your bank instead of your PayPal balance, you might need to update your pre-approved payment preferences:

Here's how:

1. Click the Settings  icon next to "Log out" and select Account Settings.
2. Click Money, banks and cards.
3. Click Manage-Pre-approved Payment in the 'Pre-approved payments' section.
4. Select the 'Merchant Name' for the Billing Agreement you want to change.
5. Click Change under 'Payment Method.'
6. Select your backup payment method and click Save.
