PayPal payment confirmation email goes straight to the trash folder, not the inbox?

I see that no one has answered previous questions on this topic. I do have an AOL account. Is it an an AOL problem? I've been with AOL since they launched, but it is only this year that I've had the problem.

Any ideas?

Hi @miketbowls64,

I'm sorry to hear that AOL is putting our messages in the trash folder. I'm not familiar with the AOL email client. Is there any way to designate trusted senders? That may help, but it won't solve the problem entirely because there may be different sending addresses or servers from within PayPal. If AOL has a customer service avenue, explaining the situation to them may lead to a solution. It may not be a unique issue.

I hope this can be resolved!

I had the same issue; all email(gmail) from paypal was in my "trash" folder. In my case, it turned out that some malware had set up  a gmail filter with the rule: any  incoming e-mail with the word "paypal", move it to the "trash" folder.

If something similar is happening to you, check your e-mail client for active filters or rules that are redirecting your e-mails. Run a malware scan ASAP!
