PayPal and bank not in sync

So I recently spent £202 at an online shop, via PayPal. I paid solely from my debit card, which is with HSBC. For whatever reason, I immediately rang up the shop to cancel this order, and they gave me a full refund. When I asked how long the refund would take to come through, they said it would be immediate. Whilst still on the phone, I checked my PayPal mobile app and saw both the -£202 and +£202 in the activity tab. This was nearly 5 days ago. However, on my mobile banking app, the initial transaction of £202 to the shop is still pending, and there is no sign of my refund on my bank whatsoever. PayPal lists the initial payment as refunded, and the refund as completed. I’m wondering when my bank is going to catch up? As the online retailer cancelled the order as soon as it had been placed, will my bank view that as them not processing the transaction?

If you funded the original Paypal payment to the seller from your bank account or a card then once marked refunded/completed it will automatically go back to that bank account or card.
Normally it can take a few days up to a week to go back to a bank account and a bit longer for a card, Paypal say allow 30 days for a card (1 billing cycle) but its rarely that long.
(Can vary according to country though).
