PayPal Payment Reminder sent to Merchant Email when Invoice status is Paid

We paid an Invoice in PayPal with a Check and the Invoice was marked as Paid.  Later that evening, our merchant email received a Payment Reminder notice from PayPal.  The customer did not receive the Payment Reminder notification.
