Hey guys,i want to buy a phone from offerup, and the seller told be he lost his job thats why he is selling it for a cheap price, so he asked me to pay through paypal, i wonder how safe is it, knowing that he will ship the phone. To answer that I would have to type up the whole of Paypals buyer protection policy so your best bet is to go to the user agreement and read up on that small section so you can risk assess your transaction.
However 2 pieces of advice NEVER pay using the friends / family option or you will negate that protection and personally I always fund my Paypal purchases via a credit card that hopefully gives another layer of protection.
