Pay in 3 (Ebay)

Hiya guys! Wondering if someone can help. I'm looking to make a purchase on ebay but wish to use the pay in 3 option to spread the cost. However when i head to checkout the option isn't available. Is there a way for me to do this? I wonder if a seller sent an invoice perhaps if I could use pay in 3 then? Obviously if not then I'll simply have to wait but I'm just curious. Thanks for any assistance!

Idk how PayPal expects third partys to use Payin3 on their site, when they don’t even use it as an option on the site that’s actually owned by them(eBay) this makes no sense to me..

Hi 

If you select the PayPal Credit payment option on eBay then it redirects to give you the option to pay in 3 or pay in full on PayPal credit.

I know this was some time ago. But I found now, if the item is new (maybe other terms) and then checkout with PayPal the option to pay in 3 is there.
