I've just been offered money for my vehicle I'm selling and they said they'd pay in full and that they'd get a courier to come and collect it. HOWEVER now I've been sent an email that looks legitimate but tells me that the money is being held by paypal and the buyer can't get it back but they won't give it to me unless I transfer the amount needed for the courier as they apparently couldn't do it. it's telling me to do it via bank tranfer and that once it's been verified with pictures that the full amount will be transferred to me which is the buying price + money to send to courier so that it looks like I'm getting it back. is this a scam or is this genuinely how paypal works?
