Not possible to set bank account as preferred payment method in Russia?

When i try to set my confirmed linked bank account as preferred payment method, i receive this error:

This can’t be used as your preferred way to pay online. Choose a different payment method.

Unfortunately, the message is not very informative. Is it a limitation for Russian accounts or something?

Not sure what and when happened, but seems to be resolved now.
