Needed to add two cards??

Hey everyone!

I have an issue.

When I try to make a purchase from an external website using PayPal, it requests me to add a credit/debit card before I can purchase anything. But I already have one linked to my account. Why does it do this and is there any way to fix it?

I have sufficient money in my balance to make the purchase, but not all the money I have is USD (which is why a bit of other currency is needed)

You need the TOTAL amount in the correct currency to be able to use your paypal balance.

If not then you have to fund the total payment from a linked card.

Paypal is asking me to add a card but I have more than enough to cover the purchase so that is not the issue.

You can use funds in your Paypal balance but at some stage security will kick in and tell you to add a card to act as a back up funding source and to verify your Paypal account.
