Refunds vary in times - anywhere from 7 days to 30.   It's not possible to provide an exact time as each transaction is different.   Note, depending on what what funding source the refunder uses can also affect the time.

If you funded the original Paypal payment to the seller with a debit or credit card then it won't go back to your paypal balance.

Once marked as completed it will automatically go back to your bank account or credit card but takes up to a week to process through to the bank and a bit longer for a c.c (Paypal say allow 30 days but I have never waited longer than a week for mine, the last one taking 4 days).

I am having the same issue with attempting to pay up for a flight on Southwest Airlines website.  Apparently, the $110.00+ I paid for this through PayPal did not link to a flight I needed.  How may I cancel this payment that does not serve me for anything?   Southwest does not recognize any flight reserved for that Monday August 6th.  It's useless for me to pay $110.98 for nothing.  It should have been linked for a Monday evening flight.  Thoughts??
