Mystery Paypal debit on bank statement.

My bank statement lists a Paypal debit against a transaction number I cannot trace, nor can I find any transaction for the amount stated.

Report it to your bank as unauthorized. You also cross-referenced the transaction date to see if any activity around that date on PayPal, right?

Then you bank card may have been compromised in some way and your card info was used at a merchant who uses PayPal to process payment and paid through PayPal guest checkout.
