Today I received a notification that my PayPal account had been charged by Facebook (something I had not approved). I log in to my PP account on my phone, see that I still have a $40 balance from a payment I received two weeks ago, I click on the Facebook charge to view it in more detail, back out to the main screen and the PayPal balance that was $40 is now $0. In my account history/transactions, I clearly see the payment received of $40, but there is NO outgoing use of this balance. The Facebook charge was less than $13, and it came straight out of my bank account (reflected in my banking app). The $40 balance was not touched, and even if it was, I should still have funds left after the FB charge. Why has my balance disappeared into thin air?
