Hello. So one of my friends sent money to an account that isn’t even created. What could I do?

Ask them to cancel the payment if the payment status is unclaimed and give them the correct PayPal email address they need to send the money to.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Money isn't sent to a paypal account, its sent to an email address.

If you own that email address then add it to your paypal account and verify it and the funds should show up, you can have up to 8 email addresses on the 1 paypal account.

If you don't own that email address and it is NOT linked to a paypal account then it will show as unclaimed and if not claimed it will 'time out' at 30 days and go back to the sender.

If its claimed and 'added' to a paypal account that is not yours or the proper recipients then your only hope is if you funded it via a card you can try a chargeback.

If the email address is non existant ie a typo and can't be claimed then there should be a cancel option on the senders side.
