If its showing as unclaimed then it means you have made a spelling mistake with the email address that you sent the funds to OR you sent it to an email address that is not linked to his Paypal account.
If there is a cancel option you can cancel it, if there is no cancel option then it will 'time out' at 30 days post payment.
