I have gotten emails that money was sent to me, but it isn't in my account. Is this possibly due to the 4th of July holiday? And why wouldn't it be there today, July 5th?
PayPal will place funds in your available or pending balance as soon as it's received. Is your email address confirmed? If so, please review the email to determine if it's a phishing attempt. Here's more information from our Help Center on how to spot false emails.
