Money not in account after being returned

I was offered a return of funds after a purchase I made, the seller sent the wrong item.

I recieved emails from 'paypal' saying that I have "You've Got Cash".

There is no cash in my account.

Does it take some time or am I being scammed?

Do you mean you had a refund??

If so then ....

If you funded the original Paypal payment to the seller with a card then it won't go back to your paypal balance.

Once marked as completed it will automatically go back to your card. Paypal say allow 30 days but I have never waited longer than a week for mine, however that depends a lot on what country you are in.
