Made purchase mistake, I Cancelled and clicked Refunded ASAP, Not a easy fix. Now have to wait days

I sent a $2K Payment instead of $20, mistake ! I realized it within secs, so I cancelled the Payment, a refund issued. However I now have a pending refund, pending a echeck ?
