Issue With Payments

Someone sent me money at first she said it was pending, therefore I looked up what could be the issue, she made sure her email was confirm, also made sure she put mine in correctly, then the payment said it had been confirmed, but I still haven't received the payment. But the email is correct, my account is fine because I've done this multiple times and the money goes through, I don't know what the issue could be?

Hi ElliroseJ,

Thank you for contacting the PayPal Community Forum and welcome as a new member!

Can you see the payment in your PayPal account but it is not available in your balance? Have you received a request to provide tracking information confirming the item has been shipped to the buyer?

No I can’t even see it on my PayPal account, she send another one and it went through immediately whereas the other one hasn’t, would the money just go back into her account?

That's a good question, @ElliroseJ.

We appreciate you clarifying. I recommend checking your emails (including your spam and junk folder) and the Resolution Center to see if there were updates/notifications about the first transaction sent there.

Alright I will, when do you think the money will go back into her account, as it’s says confirmed but her bank says pending, but she has send money to me so it can’t be anything to do with that. Will it take 30days ?

@ElliroseJ,

The timeframe will depend on the reason why the funds are not yet available or on hold. If you received the payment, but it's not showing within your pending or available balance, it sounds like a dispute or case was created for that particular transaction ID. When a dispute is filed, we temporarily holds the funds from the buyer and the seller until a decision is made on the case. You will have the option to refund the buyer within the dispute.

How do I do that? I did open a dispute with this person as they needed to pay me back the first one didn’t work and then the second one did. But on my PayPal account there is no summary of the first incounter, only the second. But the money still came out as it says confirmed.

I do apologize for my confusion.

If you are the seller in this situation, you wouldn't be able to file a dispute against a transaction you received. It sounds like your buyer filed a dispute for the first transaction they sent you. Did you check the Resolution Center or your emails to see if you received notifications about a dispute?

I made a dispute with her over an item I bought from depop she gave me false information, so she had to give me a refund and then she said she wouldn’t do it so I made a dispute. Then she messaged me and said she would give me the money so I said to give it so the first try didn’t work but was confirmed but no data of it and the second try it went though, so what happened to the money on the first try, like will it go back in her account?
