Is this a scam? Buyer asking me to create yahoo email to request payment

I am selling an item to someone but the person says he cannot make the payment for the request because my PayPal is not using a Yahoo email:

"I have a restriction on my paypal account were i can only make payments to sellers that only carry yahoo emails on thier end simply create a yahoo email and add it to your account so i can pay asap"

It sounds really suspicious and I tried googling around to see if that even is a thing, is this some sort of scam where they can claw back the money if I were using a Yahoo email?

Sounds suspicious. There is no limitation on PayPal.

You can use any email.

Even better to use own private email via own private server or personal company email if you have one.

Maybe he has access to leaked passwords or something related to Yahoo and wants to make a scam.
