Is paypal charging my credit card for my ebay purchases?

PayPal shows that it is paying for my Ebay purchases.  So then, why does my credit card ALSO showing that it is paying for the exact same purchases????  This has been going on for a month or so now.  I don't see my Paypal balance going down.  Please help me.  Patti

Welcome to PayPal Community. 

If you have completed the eBay purchase using your PayPal account and used your Credit Card to complete the transaction, you will be able to see the transaction recorded in the "Activity" section of your PayPal account and the charges will be applied on your Credit Card.
