Invoice Payment Pending

Essentially, I am a starting freelancer, and I sent an invoice to my client. It has been around 5 business days, and my invoice is still 'pending'. When I take a closer look at my transactions, the payment section is 'sent', but I still have no funds in my account.

Alright, now that I have confirmed a Visa card on my account, how long should I wait till I find the funds in my paypal balance?
