International payment from the United States not showing up in my activity feed

Recently a friend of mine sent me some money from the US via PayPal, but unbeknownst to him I did not have an account at the time. So I directly clicked on the 'Accept the money' and went through the account set up process. However, when I had finished setting up my account, the payment from him did not appear in my activity feed, nor did it show up in my balance.

I'm currently in the process of linking my bank account to my PayPal account, but any idea what might have happened to the payment?
