Someone I know that’s currently in a foreign country is telling me that in order for him to send me money I need to give him 100 dollars in amazon cards (the code on the back and a picture of the receipt) for him to deposit money into my cashapp. I even received an email from PayPal with a verification code followed by a second email saying that I need to deposit 25 more dollars before the money is available. I can’t post this inquiry with the email address so I’m just gonna split it up. <removed>
Be careful with those kind of emails. You may report it to spoof@paypal.com . Paypal will not ask you any deposit before sending/receiving money. I suggest to change your password (both for email and paypal ). And please do not click the link and provide anything to someone.
