i tried hitting account settings to get to manage the account but it doesn't go there. Help!

Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > "manage pre-approved payments.''

Thank you for visiting the Community Forum.
Based on the options you have, it sounds like you have a business account. For a business account, here’s how to cancel a preapproved payment like a subscription or billing agreement:
- Hover over the name (top right) on your account and select Account Settings from the drop-down menu.
- Click Money, banks and cards under "Profile" on the left.
- In the "Automatic payments" section click Manage Automatic Payments.
- Select the merchant's name or email address.
- Click Cancel.

Thank you, that's where it is, but all your FAQ and help files on the internet point in completely different direction, namely at the drop-down on a wheel. Maybe you changes layout, but help files should be adjusted too, it took me 3 days to figure out where it is
