I am unable to get the payment using debit or credit card on my store

I am getting this message.

We aren't able to process your payment using your PayPal account at this time. Please go back to the merchant and try using a different payment method.

I tried to buy a product from my shopify store using a international activated debit card or even credit card but I was unable to buy that product.

can you please help me ?
