How to control what happens when my client's subscription plan fails?

Hi there,
I have multiple clients on subscription plans.
Occasionally their payments fail due to insufficient funds.
I have learned that after the first failed payment attempt, Paypal will automatically re-attempt to charge the card after 3 days.
If the payment fails again, paypal will wait 5 days then attempt the payment one final time.
Does the client receive an email notification when this occurs?
Does the email contain a re-payment link?
Does the email contain a link to update their payment details?
Am I able to edit this email notification?
Can I change my settings so that there are more than 2 payment attempts?
I can't find any documentation on this. I'd love to see the documentation on this topic.
Thank you for your support! 🙂
