How to accept a payment from abroad

Hi, I live in Finland and have been sent some money from Australia. I've had an email come through to say I've received the amount, and to claim the money, there's an active link to click on. When I do this, it just takes me to my PayPal page, but I can't see any pending payments to accept? How do I accept this payment? Thanks for any help in advance, James

Perhaps wait a day and log on to your account and see if payment appears. If the email has a transaction ID, call customer service and ask them to trace the transaction ID.

 

To contact customer service:

Click HELP at the top menu, scroll down to click CONTACT US, and then scroll down to click CALL US.

Say "Live Agent" to the automated recording.

Thanks for replying  . The email doesn't have a transaction ID, I can only see that I've been sent the money via the email. The transaction was on Friday evening and even flashed up on my phone that payment had been recieved. It's a shame I can't screen grab the mail for you. All the texts are here:

Hi @JamesCowx,

 

I'm sorry to hear that the claim link is looping you to the main site with no instructions for claiming the payment. There should be instructions that assist you with making whatever changes are necessary. Usually what's needed is to either confirm your email address or add the currency balance to your account so the payment can come through. 

 

Are the cookies in your browser enabled? Have you tried logging in to your account in your browser and then clicking the link? If you've tried all that, please try clearing the cookies and cache in your browser and closing it, then reopening, logging in, and then clicking the link. 

 

I hope this resolves the issue and you can get that payment claimed!
