You can't get a money request from a friend, if you did then it would still be a goods / services payment.
The ONLY time its NOT a goods / services payment is if the 'sender' sends money > family / friends OR they use a personal paypal.me link.

Paypal is 'country specific' so advice often depends on what country you are in. As you have not added your country to your community profile or said in your post then we can't help at the moment.

Differences in payments.
A 'money request' is a goods/services payment.
An 'invoice' is a goods/services payment.
'Send money > goods/services' is a goods/services payment.
A 'business account paypal.me' a goods/services payment.
A 'send money > friends/family payment is a friends/family payment.
A 'paypal.me personal account' is a friends/family payment.

Ok but I can't see any of those options clearly!
So I got to request money, type in email / amount and I get this... I can't tell if this is a personal / friends request or a goods and services request? I get no option to select either. This is from personal account.
How do I make sure it's a goods and services payment request?
Thanks for your help, this is so **bleep**ing frustrating!

Did you read what I put above???
Where it says money request is a goods /services option surely is self explanatory.

Remember, to ask directly to the person, istead using PayPal, as PayPal will suck your money and will never help, in case you get some problem. They are just making the people fool.
