Hey guys, today someone sent me $50 via a Visa card, they chose to send it as a transaction instead of sending to a friend. It said "on hold" So I refunded it and asked them to send it as a gift, when they tried, the money wasn't on the visa card and they don't actually have a bank account linked to their paypal. Is the money sitting in their paypal balance, waiting for a card to be linked? If she links a card will it be there? If not how can we fix this? $50 has vanished!

I know it can be frustrating not having to identify where the money did go.
All refunds will be sent back to the payment method of your original payment. If they paid with a debit/ credit card, refund will go straight to their card. It may take up to 30 days for the refund amount to appear on the card statement.
