Unclaimed payments mean that the email address you sent the funds to was either non-existant OR not linked to a valid paypal account.

There is only a cancel option if the email was 'non-existant', if it was just not linked to a valid paypal account then it would just be unclaimed withOUT a cancel option.

You said it was pending and not unclaimed,  but even if it was unclaimed if there is not a cancel option  then again it will time out at 30 days post payment.

pending echeque TO your paypal balance from a buyer?
pending IN your paypal balance for an Ebay sale as a new seller?
pending IN your paypal balance for an off-Ebay sale as a new seller?
pending TO a company with you as the buyer?
pending / unclaimed to a seller?
pending / unclaimed with a cancel option to a seller?

ok if its pending and not completed then the 'seller' has not received it.

If it stays 'pending' then it should 'time out' 30 days post payment.

If it changes to 'completed' (unlikely) then you could then open a dispute for non-receipt of item.

Thank s

Just thought i could get my money back sooner.

This is what i got from eBay

In this situation,  Melt, your payment is considered as unclaimed and  you can cancel that payment in PayPal since they are the ones who process all payments in eBay.

Here's how to cancel an "Unclaimed" payment:

1. Log in to your PayPal account.

2. Click the "History" near the top of the page.

3. Click "Cancel" under "Order status/Actions" next to your unclaimed payment.

4. Click "Cancel Payment".
