Help! Accidentally sent a friend and family payment to wrong email address

Accidentally sent a friend and family payment to wrong email address, the other email address is actually my friends email but it isn’t the correct email for her PayPal. I’m struggling as to what to do. The payment says sent in the app and on the desktop and I can’t see no any way to request to cancel this.

Tell her to 'add' that other email address to her paypal account and verify it and the funds should complete.

She can have up to 8 email addresses on the x1 paypal account.

She can remove it later if she wants to.


Advice is voluntary.

You may only cancel a payment if it appears in your account Summary under the Pending section and, when you click on it, the status shows as Unclaimed. You’ll notice a ‘Cancel’ button next to the payment. Simply click Cancel to stop the payment.

 

If there is no cancel button and the status remains Unclaimed past 30 days, the money will be refunded automatically.

 

Another option is for the recipient to add and confirm the email address to their PayPal account to claim funds.
