I live in Canada, and I was trying to pay a client back for covering a tab of multiple bottles of Havana Club Rum at a club in Toronto. In the memo I made the mistake of listing "Havana Club" and now paypal is holding my money for compliancy reasons?! The money is coming from a Canadian credit card, and being sent to a Canadian University email address. Havana Club Rum is LEGAL in Canada.
Had this happened to anyone before? Is this happening because Havana Club is illegal in the US? How do I get them to release the money?
