I'm currently in the process of dealing with a return request on eBay, so the original sale amount (£43) was being held in my PayPal until I was ready to refund the buyer.
In a separate transaction, I've sent a payment of £7 on friends and family to someone, which went through fine. However, not only has the recipient received the £7.00 absolutely fine, PayPal have also taken the £43 pending balance out of my account.
So the PayPal transaction info shows that I've sent £7, but paid £50 with my debit card? How can this happen?
I'm now in a situation where I'm unable to refund the buyer as my original held funds have disappeared. I'm worried I won't get this money back, especially considering the £50 has already been taken out of my back account.
Has anyone got any similar experiences / advice to give?
