Greater risk transaction, payment on HOLD, can’t get in contact with PayPal?

I have recently tried selling an item on Facebook and the person who purchased it sent through the $70 that was asked, i got an email saying it has been put on HOLD and I can’t access the funds “ We've placed the payment on hold because we believe this transaction may involve a higher risk. The funds will be available to you after the order has been fulfilled. “ I am now feeling a bit uneasy about going ahead with posting the item. What does this usually mean? Should I be wary of posting the item or will I receive my money once I upload a tracking number? If anyone can help me that would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Keighleyc,

Thank you for your post. There's one other thing to consider besides what @Sharingiscaring mentioned. Please check the transaction history in your PayPal account to be sure that you see the payment there. If there is no payment showing, there is a possibility that the email is not legitimate.

I hope this helps!
