Recently I reported a payment as "unauthorised", asked for a refund which I got, the money is supposed to be in my paypal balance but it's not. The money was taken from my debit card so I assumed it was gonna get refunded there, but my card got unlinked and I can't link it back.

A refund goes back to the funding source that was used to make the payment. The usual timeframe is 5-7 days, and if the payment was made using a credit card, it can take up to 30 days depending on your credit card issuer.
