Dear Community,
I hope you guys can help me as I am being passed between Ebay and Paypal, each saying its the fault of the other. So here's a summary:
- I sold an item and the buyer paid. Lets say £750
- I withdrew the funds from Paypal
- A couple of weeks later the buyer open a not as described case and Paypal put the payment on hold, so my account went negative, say -£500, as I had £250 of funds from other sales
- I agreed a partial refund with the buyer, via Ebay and paid Ebay direct £100 so they could partial refund the buyer
- Ebay closed the case
- Paypal won't release the original £750 even though its not showing on hold and my Paypal balance is still -£500
- I have messaged both Ebay and Paypal at length and both say they can't help. Ebay say the case is closed. Paypal say they need ebay to close the case
- I am getting quite frustrated, as I can't get anyone on the phone and just the the "computer says no" type response
What can I do to get my funds released?
