First time using PayPal but there saying my PayPal not valid what am I doing wrong

Hi I'm wanting someone to send me mo ey and there asking for my PayPal account when I put it in its says account not valid what am I doing wrong

Hi Chris326 and welcome, 

If someone is sending you a payment then all you will need to provide them with is your PayPal registered email address. Make sure that your email address is confirmed on your PayPal account as it does need to be confirmed in order to receive payments.
