Fee deduction off payment made.

Hi,

Yesterday I paid $719, but only $687.06 was received.

Why?

Service fee??

If so, why wasn't I warned so that I could pay extra to cover the fee???

And how much must I pay now in order to get the correct amount paid because the fee of 4.442280946% will surely be cut off again on my next payment!!!

Surely paypal could highlight the service fee at the point of payment so that a single transaction can be done and I don't have to keep going back to try to balance up a payment of ever decreasing amounts deducted???

Please help a very disappointed & disgruntled paypal user!!

Because sending money is free for the sender. The recipient is responsible for fees. This is posted on all PayPal's websites, at least it should be.

Hi,

Sorry to re-start this conversation.

I have just made a payment to balance up the deducted Service Fee.

On the web page where I state amount to be paid it states;

"You pay" ............... "Recipient gets"

and it shows that the recipient gets EXACTLY what I pay!!!

That is incredibly misleading!! And not the case at all.

If this page was working correctly then I would have seen the service fee deduction before I made the payment and adjusted accordingly.

Please ask the PayPal guys to get this page right.
